Hi!

Welcome! on this fine  I am so glad you came by! I hope your visit is a pleasant and memorable one!

I am Pethuru (Peter) Raj. I was born in Kanyakumari. I did my schooling and college studies in my birth place itself. Then by God's abundant grace, I finished my CSIR-sponsored PhD degree in Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India in October 1997 under the supervision of Prof. Ponnammal Natarajan (the research goal was to leverage the proven and pioneering mathematical concepts such as finite automata, applied algebra and formal languages for investigating a couple of biological processes (splicing and recombination of DNA sequences) in order to contribute for the much-maligned DNA computing).

Then I continued my UGC-sponsored postdoctoral research in the department of Computer Science and Automation, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore till March 1999 under the guidance of Prof. Priti Sankar (the research topic was finite state machine (FSM) and pattern recognition (in Molecular sequences).

In the meantime, I got selected for the prestigious JSPS fellowship by Japan Government and I joined as a foreign researcher in the department of Intelligence and Computer Science to work under Prof. Naohiro Ishii till December 2000. The research topics were bioinformatics, distributed databases development, and homology searching algorithms design .

On 1st January 2001, I joined as a researcher in a JST-funded project at the dept. of Communications and Computer Engineering, School of Informatics, Kyoto University, Japan. under the project leader Prof. Kazuo Iwama. The research project was to study about quantum computing especially on quantum finite automata

In the year 1999, I married my wife (Sweetlin Reena) and by God's blessings, I got two sons (Darren Samuel and Darresh Bernie)

In July 2001, I joined as a technical manager (enterprise application design and development) in Indo-Fuji Information Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a Bangalore-based Software development Company and worked there till September 2004.

Again I went back back to Japan (I love Japan very much) and have joined as a research scientist from November 2004 in the Center for Tsukuba Advanced Research Alliance (TARA), University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Japan. I was working in a couple of projects that involved high-end multimedia technologies.

Then in the year 2006, I joined as a senior consultant in Wipro Technologies and I got a variety of opportunities to learn and work on several impactful technologies such as business process management (BPM), service oriented architecture (SOA), enterprise architecture (EA), Cloud computing, event-driven architecture (EDA), and model driven architecture (MDA). Bangalore, INDIA.

This year (2013), I joined as an infrastructure architect in IBM Global Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE), IBM India, Bangalore
